“We met as college friends, and now we're business partners, and that journey's been amazing.” – Kosta
Kosta and Austin's journey began in the hallowed halls of their college where their friendship flourished from freshman year. Little did they know, this bond would evolve into the foundation of a thriving business. Their history speaks volumes about the power of shared dreams, trust, and a commitment to turning ideas into reality.
A Brush with Fame: The KIIS FM Interview with Ryan Seacrest
Highlighting their journey was an appearance on KIIS FM's "On Air with Ryan Seacrest." “We got on air and that was just crazy because when you hear Ryan Seacrest's voice, I say this to everyone. Like it sounded like AI generated. Like I couldn't believe that it was his voice on the other end of the line. Cause you know, he has an iconic voice. So that was the Kickstarter. And so that was our biggest win probably thus far,” Kosta recalls. The interview skyrocketed their brand's visibility, cementing their place in the events industry. “Being on KIIS FM with Ryan Seacrest was a game-changer.” – Austin
Bar Boys Spill Their Challenges
The journey wasn't all cocktails and smiles.
“The biggest roadblock for us was just becoming legal. I honestly wouldn't think the paperwork is as complicated as it'd be, but unfortunately it is, you know, file your LLC, get you, you know, file for your business license for California, you know, search up all the regulations to making sure you're legally allowed to do your business in the county you're in, let alone the state. I would say like just getting legal, the step-by-step process for that was the biggest barrier for us to get into this. Because we were doing events beforehand, but it was like I said, it was super casual, there was no bar boys, it was just two guys who liked bartending together and having a good time and was bartending for others. So getting legal was definitely the hardest part for us. ” Kosta recalls.
